Business Banking      Banking      ICS/IntraFi

Bank safe and smart with FDIC insurance protecting your deposits.

Simple Access, So Much Coverage

With the Insured Cash Sweep (ICS) service and IntraFi® Network Deposits℠, you can access multi-million FDIC insurance and earn interest, all through a single banking relationship.

Your funds are divided into smaller amounts and placed in network members’ banks so your deposit is eligible for full FDIC insurance. You receive only one bank statement for your account making it easier to manage your information while enjoying the benefits of full FDIC coverage.

What is ICS?

Through the Insured Cash Sweep® (ICS) service, you earn interest on funds placed into demand deposit accounts (using the ICS demand option), money market deposit accounts (using the ICS savings option), or both, and rest assured knowing that your ICS funds are eligible for multi-million-dollar FDIC insurance.

You also enjoy unlimited program withdrawals (using the ICS demand option) or up to six program withdrawals per month (using the ICS savings option).

How Does ICS Work?

When our bank places funds for you using ICS, your deposit is sent from your transaction account at our bank into deposit accounts at other ICS Network banks in amounts below the standard FDIC insurance maximum ($250,000). This makes your funds eligible for FDIC protection. As a result, you can access FDIC insurance coverage from many institutions while working directly with just us, an institution you already know and trust. It’s that easy.

What Else Should I Know?

You will receive a regular monthly statement from us for each option showing your ICS balances and other key information. And you can check your ICS balances and track other important information of interest to you, 24/7, through a specially designed Depositor Control Panel.
Your confidential information remains protected.

ICS can eliminate the ongoing tracking burdens associated with collateralization and the need to footnote uninsured deposits in financial statements if you are accustomed to these practices.

What is IntraFi?

IntraFi® Network Deposits℠ is a service developed by Promontory Interfinancial Network, LLC, to provide large depositors access to extended FDIC coverage.

How Does IntraFi Work?

When you make a large deposit at Cogent, we spread your funds into CDs at banks within the IntraFi network in increments less than the standard FDIC insurance maximum.  This allows both the principal and interest to be eligible for FDIC protection. As a result, you receive FDIC coverage from many banks while working directly with Cogent.

What are the Advantages of IntraFi?

Convenience. You do not have to spend time and energy placing your deposits at multiple institutions. With IntraFi, you will earn one interest rate and receive one regular statement for all your deposits.

With access to multi-million-dollar FDIC insurance, you can reduce collateralization requirements (if you are accustomed to collateralization) and avoid the hassle of opening accounts at different banks in different insurable capacities. In addition, you eliminate the need to manually consolidate account statements and interest disbursements. IntraFi reduces administrative burdens, especially during tax and financial reporting seasons, and frees up valuable time.
