Beth has been banking in Southwest Florida for over thirty years, and has extensive experience in commercial lending, currently serving as a commercial relationship manager at our Fort Myers Banking Center. She strives to create strong connections to her commercial clients, and ensure that all Cogent business customers, whether exploring deposit account options or commercial loans, are given dedicated and attentive service. As a commercial lender, she works with clients to match them with a wide variety of commercial lending products including owner-occupied and investment real estate loans, construction loans, business lines of credit, equipment loans, as well as SBA and USDA lending.
Beth is not only highly-experienced in lending, she also brings specialized knowledge and regional connections to her service. Beth holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Alabama, as well as memberships in both the Lee County Bar Association and the Lee Building Industry Association. Beyond her professional education and experience, she passes on her talents to local charitable organizations. She serves as the Team Leader for Fund Distribution (and former Chair/former Campaign Co-Chair) of United Way of Lee, Hendry and Glades Counties, and sits on the board of directors, serving as Vice President, for Family Health Centers of Southwest Florida.
For Beth, the most rewarding part of her job is getting to personally know area business owners and helping them to achieve their business goals, whether it’s establishing a company, purchasing an investment, growing their company, or even planning an exit strategy. She takes joy in watching her clients’ businesses—and their families—grow. Beth works hard to help her clients get through the exciting times, as well as the harder times, from the COVID-19 pandemic to natural disasters, striving to make her clients’ lives easier. She has the following advice for potential borrowers:
“Get the banker involved as early as possible. When you are starting a company or making plans for purchase or expansion, discuss what is needed for a banking relationship, what is needed to grow the company and how to plan for future needs. It is beneficial for everyone to have the banking partner involved as early as possible.”
Beth is married with two adult daughters, and has been a resident of Fort Myers for 32 years. When not working she enjoys volunteering for the Gulf Coast Church of Christ Women’s Committee, cake decorating, and travel. She loves to spend time on the lake, and has a special affinity for water sports.
As an experienced commercial lender and relationship specialist, Beth is happy to discuss your business banking needs.
