With 36 years in the business, Rob is one of our most experienced lenders. Rob holds both a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Florida, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Florida. Serving our customers in our Jacksonville Banking Center, he works hard to match his clients with the right commercial lending products, from commercial & industrial loans to commercial real estate loans (including loans for construction for retail strip centers, multi-family projects, self-storage facilities, and industrial warehouses).
Rob believes that the best part of his job is building relationships with his commercial customers and working with them to provide the advice and capital they need to help their businesses thrive and grow. More than anything, he values being viewed as a competent, respected advisor who will offer constructive ideas while also being an advocate for the needs of his clients.
Based on nearly four decades of experience, Rob offers the following tips for new and established companies looking to apply for a loan:
“For newer companies, if you don’t know a commercial or business banker, ask your attorney, CPA, or other trusted advisor for a referral. Build a relationship with your banker as soon as possible. Keep them apprised of how your business is doing and its plans for the future. If your banker understands your business, loan requests are more likely to be met. For more established businesses, I recommend looking for a banker who knows your industry or at least has solid in-market experience and with whom they relate well. Maintain regular contact with your banker, be proactive in providing financials, and share both company successes as well as challenges and concerns the business may be facing. Provide a clear reason for the loan request along with a realistic repayment plan.”
Born and raised in Jacksonville, Rob is married with two adult children. He serves as a member of the Advisory Board for Catholic Charities in Jacksonville.
