Joelle joined Cogent Bank after spending more than 35 years in mortgage lending, with a specialty in creative financing. She believes every borrower has a unique story and her passion is finding them a financing solution that fits their goals, rather than forcing them into a “one-size-fits-all” loan.
She advises homebuyers to speak with a lender as early as possible so she can create a plan to help you improve your buying power and explore all the financing options available.
“Every borrower is unique, so don’t assume you won’t qualify based on something you’ve heard. There are often more solutions than people realize, and my job is to help you find the one that best fits your goals,” she says.
Joelle has extensive experience with conventional mortgages, FHA, VA, jumbo, construction-to-permanent, refinancing, down payment assistance, and specialty lending programs. Her approach is simple: listen first, educate throughout the process, communicate consistently, and make the mortgage experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.
“The most rewarding part of being a lender is helping people achieve something they once thought was out of reach,” she says. “Whether it’s a first-time homebuyer getting the keys to their first home, a family building their dream home, or finding a creative financing solution for a self-employed borrower. I enjoy finding solutions where others may see obstacles.”
Outside of the office, Joelle is passionate about health and wellness. She enjoys yoga, Pilates, weightlifting, and living a healthy, balanced lifestyle. She believes the discipline and dedication she brings to her wellness journey are the same qualities that help her guide clients with confidence, care, and exceptional service throughout the home financing process. She’s also a member of the Republican Women’s Club of Duval Federated.
