Cogent Bank launches Sports and Entertainment Banking vertical

Cogent Bank (“Cogent”), an Orlando-based, full-service business and personal community bank, announces the launch of its newest Sports and Entertainment Banking vertical.

The latest vertical aims to provide young athletes, both collegiately and professionally, with the financial literacy education and banking resources necessary to preserve their wealth in a historically unscrupulous industry. Cogent Bank’s people-first approach to financial services will provide the customized approach to banking necessary to preserve, maintain and grow their clients’ portfolio.

“Many young athletes come from underserved, impoverished communities and are not used to the amount of money sports can provide,” said Brandon Ghee, SVP, managing director of Sports & Entertainment Banking. “Cogent Bank will serve to arm players with the knowledge and resources to protect their money as they continue their career in sports and entertainment.

Ghee, a six-year NFL veteran, including time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Tennessee Titans, will provide firsthand experience and extensive industry knowledge to support Cogent Bank’s efforts to benefit athletes in banking relationships founded upon ethics and trust.

Recently, Cogent Bank has expanded its Private Wealth services and added Aviation Financing to its robust lineup of services. Cogent will continue to add innovative products and services while offering its signature, high-touch customer service.
