Cogent Bank Celebrates Grand Opening of New Ocala Banking Center

Lake and Sumter Style, September 18, 2024

Cogent Bank (“Cogent”) celebrates the grand opening of its Ocala Banking Center, its first location expansion into the North Central Florida market. The new Banking Center, Cogent’s ninth in Florida, is located by Ocala’s downtown square at 4 SE Broadway St. To commemorate the opening of the new banking center, Cogent held a grand opening ceremony Sept. 12, hosting more than 300 residents and business owners in the Ocala community.

“Ocala is a rapidly growing City united by a community of fiercely passionate businesses and residents,” says Nick Blaser, Cogent Bank North Central Florida president. “I’ve lived and worked here for almost three decades, and I’m confident that Cogent Bank will be a welcome addition to such a robust community.”

The Ocala Banking Center is led by Blaser alongside North Central Florida Market Executive Tom Ingram and Senior Commercial Relationship Manager Joe Vorwerk and has employed 5 new team members. The Banking Center will immediately provide Cogent’s complete array of products and services, including personal and private banking, and business banking for a variety of industries, such as association banking, business aviation lending and sports and entertainment banking.

Cogent Bank is committed to supporting the Ocala community and is donating $2,500 to both Pace Center for Girls Marion (Pace Marion) and the Public Education Foundation (PEF) of Marion County. Pace Marion provides a safe and supportive environment for girls to build healthy relationships, plan for their future, and overcome histories of trauma. PEF Marion is committed to enhancing education from pre-Kindergarten through adult education programs and directly supports the needs of students and teachers in Marion County Public Schools. The contributions will support their Give4Marion campaigns on Sept. 17, 2024.
