Happy 250th Birthday, America!

By Chirag Bhavsar, President and CEO, Published July 2026 in Florida Community Association Professionals

What makes me proud to be an American is the opportunity this country provides to people from all backgrounds. When my family immigrated to the United States, we arrived with determination, a strong work ethic, and hope for a better future. America offered the chance to pursue that dream, and along the way we experienced the kindness of people who believed in us and helped open doors to opportunities.  That journey shaped my values and the way I lead Cogent Bank today. I believe one of the greatest things about this country is the ability to create opportunities not only for yourself but for others as well. Whether it is helping businesses grow or supporting our communities, there is a spirit of opportunity that defines the American experience.

This July 4th, I will celebrate with family and friends while reflecting on the freedoms and opportunities that make this country special.
