Todd is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall management and direction of the USDA Lending team for Cogent Bank. He began his career in commercial lending and non-recourse project finance, managing a number of loan guarantee programs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Todd brings almost 25 years of experience in loan making, underwriting and servicing to the company.
He has comprehensive program management experience, working with complex financial models and debt structuring strategies related to renewable energy, oil and gas, manufacturing and transportation sectors. Todd uses his knowledge of equity, debt, private placement and other capital markets transactions to structure projects and to build and enhance relationships with financial services companies, including private equity funds, through continual dialogue, meetings and presentation of ideas, analysis and advice to senior executives and government organizations.
Todd has extensive experience facilitating lending through the use of government guaranteed loan programs such as: USDA B&I, REAP, FSA, USDA 9003, IRP, REDLG and SBA programs. Throughout the past 20 years, he has closed and serviced over $2 billion in loans.
