Senior Product Manager – Association Banking

 Job Summary

The Senior Product Manager – Association Banking will lead product development, strategic partnerships, vendor relationships and banking strategy in the association banking space.  They will provide strategic planning and execution of the banks plans to build an industry leading association banking platform that is efficient, scalable and profitable.  They will work closely with internal partners such as Operations, IT, Treasury Management and Compliance to ensure smooth execution of the division projects.  They will also serve as the coordinator of the association banking events to ensure property market representation is engaged. Qualified candidates from the following geographies are preferred: Central Florida; Greater Tampa Bay; Jacksonville/Ponte Vedra; Sarasota/Bradenton; West Palm Beach; and Destin/Pensacola.  

Responsibilities and Duties

  • As a product manager your core responsibilities will revolve around collaboration to establish the product roadmap, discovery, delivery and launch of products and services for Association Banking.
  • Develop a deep understanding of end user’s needs, Cogent’s strategic position, market conditions, and competitors.
  • Lead the banks relationship management of key Association Banking vendors such as CINC, Vantaca, AppFolio, ClickPay, Enumerate and others.
  • Gather user feedback and evaluate enhancement requests to continuously improve products and services.
  • Provide post-development support by monitoring product performance, user adoption trends, converting issues and pain points into actionable enhancement opportunities.
  • Lead internal training efforts to the Community Association Relationship Managers.
  • Co-lead the monthly Association Banking internal call at Cogent Bank.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with partners including IT, Treasury Operations, Bank Sales team, and Deposit Operations.
  • Develop training materials in collaboration with bank trainer and deliver training classes as needed.
  • Manage products, monitor product life cycle, and recommend pricing and marketing strategies to improve profitability and/or reduce expense, and to enhance customer retention and acquisition.
  • Track, evaluate/review customer complaints, concerns, and suggestions relative to assigned products.
  • All other tasks, responsibilities, or duties, as directed by management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ten (10)+  years in the financial services industry.
  • Five (5)+ years of product management/development experience.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Entrepreneurial, driven and collaborative approach to business
  • Experienced in coordinating Data Application Program Interfaces (API’s), and other financial databases.
  • Deep understanding of BSA and KYC requirements and able to apply this compliance knowledge to all aspects of product development and product management responsibilities.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Association Banking products and services.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital banking and the current receivables and payments platforms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, especially as it pertains to leading a cross-functional project team.
  • Displays a powerful sense of urgency, initiative, and drive to complete tasks correctly, with emphasis on working with and through key stakeholders in the process.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions, recognize potential problems, and take corrective action.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing business priorities.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Good people skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
