Associate Relationship Manager – Specialty Lending Group, Lake Mary

 Job Summary

The Associate Relationship Manager will play a crucial role in managing client relationships and supporting the portfolio management activities within the Specialty Lending Group. This individual will work closely with the Managing Director and team members to ensure the effective delivery of asset-based and alternative lending solutions. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and a passion for building and maintaining client relationships.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Client Relationship Management: Assist in managing and nurturing client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for clients, and ensuring their needs are met with tailored financial solutions.
  • Portfolio Management: Support the Managing Director and senior team members in managing a portfolio of asset-based lending clients, including monitoring loan performance, conducting financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures.
  • Credit Analysis: Perform detailed credit analysis and risk assessments for new and existing clients, including reviewing financial statements, cash flow projections, and collateral evaluations.
  • Transaction Support: Assist in the structuring, negotiation, and documentation of new and existing loan transactions, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential new business opportunities and stay informed about industry trends and developments.
  • Client Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed and accurate, and providing ongoing support during the initial stages of the client relationship.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on portfolio performance, client activity, and market trends to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including credit, risk, and treasury management, to deliver comprehensive financial solutions to clients.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred
  • 2 – 3 years of experience in commercial banking, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of asset-based lending principles, credit analysis, and financial statement analysis.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
